Features
Love2Learn Elmo is adorable plush toy that is controlled by an app and is completely customizable. It’s an interactive toy with a lot of options for learning and fun.
Out of the box you can already play with Love2Learn Elmo without using the app. Actions include:
- Clap his hands together and Elmo will play games, learning activities (ABC’s, numbers, animals, shapes and colors) or instruments
- Tickle his tummy and he will laugh in his totally adorable Elmo way.
- Squeeze his nose and you will hear sounds like a car horn or bicycle bell
- Hold his hand and Elmo will sing songs(10 songs included).

Love2Learn App Features
The real magic happens when you download, connect and customize the app (also available in Spanish).
Elmo can now be used for more learning activities, games and a parent helper section (see below).
The app has 3 sections: customize, parent helpers and games. We’ll discuss each section below
Customize
In the customize section you can find the following features:
- Child’s name: Enter your child’s name here and Elmo will say and spell your child’s name while playing
- Subject: Pick a subject you want to work on. Choose from Letters, number, colors shapes and animals
- Content stage: choose from 3 content levels depending on on your child’s age and learning level
- Favorites: enter your child’s favorite animals, colors and food. When your child plays with the doll, Elmo will add all their favorite content
Parents Helper
Now, as a parent your going to love this: The Love2Learn Elmo app has a parents helper section to encourage with good behavior and habits.
What does that mean you ask?
Elmo can help encourage your child potty train, clean up, use good manners and brush his/her teeth.
You can customize the app to let Elmo say phrases and songs that reward his/her good behavior.

Games
The Love2Learn Elmo app has 3 games that your child can play together with Elmo. These are all games where fun is combined with learning.

There’s also a settings section where you can control Elmo’s volume, set a password and enter privacy and lullaby mode.

Safety
Elmo app has a privacy mode. When activated Elmo will not say your child’s name in public.

I have seen several prices for Love2Learn Elmo. The cheapest stores for this toy at the moment of writing this are Walmart and Amazon.

Pros
- Elmo can do a lot of fun and educational things even without the app connected.
- The parents helper section is great for encouraging good habits and behavior. I hope Hasbro/Playskool will expand the options for this one.
- Personalized with your child’s name
- Elmo keeps engaging your child with lots of (learning) activities
Cons
- Love2Learn Elmo App does not support Kindle. Major bummer for the growing number of Kindle users everywhere.
- 4 AA Alkaline batteries are required, but not included. It’s not a big deal, but it’s a personal pet peeve, so I’m just putting it out there. AGAIN.
- Some parents mentioned that Elmo sheds a bit of his red fur.
- The app has a database for over 10,000 kid’s names, but really uncommon ones may not be in there.
