We thought we would start things off with this really cool and rather inexpensive, Amphibious remote control car, which is the Morphibians Killer Whale by Kid Galaxy. This is aimed at kids who are aged 5 and up and we think they will really like the cool killer whale design. It almost looks like the car is wearing shades!
It has 4 wheel drive and a pretty good motor so it can drive over pretty any kind of surface the kids want to take it on, even shallow water. The controls are very easy to get to grips with and as well as standard driving, this car is made to do some pretty wild and fun skids as well.
Both the car and the remote control are operated with batteries so there is no charging, but you will want to make sure you have a stockpile of batteries as two AA and 3 AAA batteries are required.

This remote control excavator can drive around like a regular RC car, but the real fun is getting this thing out in the dirt and using it to move around rocks, mud and the little sisters Barbie dolls! The large treads make this able to drive over pretty much anything that gets in its way. The shovel is really strong as it is made from steel, so kids will be able to dig pretty deep with this.
There are quite a lot of buttons on the controller so there is a bit of a learning curve with this and that is why it is aimed at children aged 10 and up. The actual excavator has a rechargeable battery, but the remote will require 2 AA batteries.
My Easy RC Vehicle by Fisher-Price

We really wanted to make sure there was at least one RC car on this list that was for preschoolers and the My Easy RC Vehicle by Fisher-Price is perfect. This is a really cute, but cool looking sports car that kids aged 3 and up will have a lot of fun with.
The Fisher Price remote control car can go at a good speed, but not so fast that they will run it into themselves and get hurt. The body of the car is made from solid and long lasting plastic so it will be fine taking the odd slam into the living room wall.
The remote makes driving very easy as there is only 4 buttons, a button for each direction so even a really young child will have no trouble getting the hang of this. The car and the remote control will require 6 AAA batteries between them.
All Terrain Radio Controlled Monster Truck RC Car by Hosim
Wow! The All Terrain Radio Controlled Monster Truck RC Car by Hosim has so much power that it could probably give your own car a run for its money! This is just a really awesome looking monster truck that is big, loud and super fast. It has a very well made motor that allows it to go up to 33 mph! So you will certainly want to make sure you have a lot of space and not let them race this inside.
As well as being fast the truck also has some amazing suspension so it is able to take jumps and even go off road and take on the roughest terrain the kids can find.
This is not really for little kids and the recommended age is 14, but for a kid looking to get into real RC car racing, we feel this truck would be a great place to start.

Just a heads up that the Spiderman Wall Climber Climbing RC Car does not have Spider-Man in the name because it is licensed by Marvel. It is called this because this car can do pretty much everything Spider-Man can!
Well apart from spinning webs and catch bad guys.
This awesome car can not only drive really fast on the floor. It can also (thanks to some fancy hoover technology) drive on the walls and even the ceiling! This is pretty amazing to see and we are sure your kids are going to love driving this all over the house. It does require a flat surface to drive on so walls that are bumpy will not be ideal. The car has been made very strong so even if it does fall or they have the odd crash it will be fine.
Aimed at children aged 8 and up , if you want a RC car that is a little different then you do not get much more different that driving on the ceiling!
